2025 Toyota Crown Unveiled – Luxury, Efficiency, and Elevated Design!

Have you ever seen a sedan that looks like an SUV? Meet the 2025 Toyota Crown, a car that stands out with its unique, tall design and raised suspension. This sedan might not carry the prestige of brands like BMW or Volvo, but it makes up for it with its striking appearance and elevated ride height, appealing to those who love the SUV stance in a sedan form. Imagine it as the sedan version of a Subaru Outback.

Inside, the Crown offers a premium cabin that rivals even Lexus, boasting high-quality materials and a clean, sophisticated design. All Crown models are hybrids. Most versions come with a 236-horsepower powertrain, delivering an impressive 42 miles per gallon on the highway. If you’re after more power, the top-spec Platinum trim features a 340-horsepower hybrid system with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, offering quicker acceleration at the cost of fuel efficiency.

For 2025, the Crown introduces the Nightshade trim, replacing chrome exterior accents with black ones. It comes in two colors: Storm Cloud and Black, paired with a black leather interior and matte black 21-inch wheels. Additionally, all Crown models now include heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Platinum trim also gains a head-up display.

The Crown’s lineup includes the XLE, Limited, and Nightshade models, which feature a 236-horsepower hybrid system with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and three electric motors. These models use a continuously variable automatic transmission and come with standard all-wheel drive. The Platinum model, however, boasts the more powerful Hybrid Max setup, combining a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor on the rear axle, producing 340 horsepower and using a six-speed automatic transmission.

Performance-wise, the base powertrain offers adequate acceleration, reaching 60 miles per hour in 7.2 seconds, while the Platinum trim impresses with a 5.1-second sprint. The EPA estimates the base hybrid powertrain to deliver up to 42 miles per gallon in the city and 41 on the highway. The more powerful Platinum model achieves 29 miles per gallon in the city and 32 on the highway. In real-world testing, the Crown Limited matched its highway rating with 42 miles per gallon, and the Platinum trim hit 32 miles per gallon.

Pricing for the 2025 Toyota Crown starts at $42,575 and can go up to $56,125 depending on the trim and options.
