Volkswagen on Wednesday confirmed pricing for the redesigned 2025 Tiguan small crossover, which is lighter and more powerful than the outgoing model but loses its third-row seat option.

Pricing starts at $30,920 (including a $1,425 destination charge) for the base Tiguan S grade with front-wheel drive, which is $615 more than the current model. Notable standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and cloth upholstery.

Starting at $34,420 with destination, the Tiguan SE adds features like 19-inch wheels, remote start, a power tailgate, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power driver’s seat, and leatherette upholstery.

An SEL R-Line Black grade ($36,880) includes a body kit, 20-inch wheels, a mix of dark and chrome exterior and interior trim, and a standard sunroof. The top SEL R-Line grade ($41,180) includes similar visual upgrades plus a 15.0-inch touchscreen, 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, three-zone climate control, front seats with memory and massage, along with power adjustment for the passenger, and leather upholstery.

All Tiguan models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-4 like the previous generation, again coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. But output is up 17 hp to 201 hp, and VW claims the new model is 170 pounds lighter. All-wheel drive is a $1,500 option on the S and SEL R-Line Black grades (with late availability on the latter), a $980 option on the SE grade, and standard on the SEL R-Line.
