BHPian yuvmudapa recently shared this with other enthusiasts:3 years and 36000 kms with my XUV700 D ATAfter 3 years and multiple road trips, city runs and service center visits, it’s time for a good old ownership review! Pros 1. Powerful and refined Diesel engine paired well with the Automatic gearbox. 2. Solid stability at triple digit speeds, doesn’t feel bouncy or floaty at all. 3. ADAS works decently well on well marked highways. I however keep it completely off in the city. A big thanks to Mahindra for saving the setting and not switching on the ADAS again when the car is started the next time. 4. Dual 10.25 inch screens give it a premium look and the full screen maps on the infotainment look wonderful. 5. Sunroof brings lot of light into the cabin and gives a good view out especially in the rain. 6. I find the memory seats very useful, since the car is often used by others and it’s really easy to get back into my seating position. 7. Offers fairly decent mileage:11-12 kmpl in the city.13-14 on the highway with slightly spirited driving16-18 on the highway when put on cruise between 80-100.Cons 1. Service has been a bit of a hit or miss. Due to the crowded service centers, even if I give my car for the first service slot in the morning, I only get it back the next day. When I gave the car for the wiring loom recall, the car showed a check engine light the next day after it was returned. 2. The front break pads wear out pretty quick, almost every 10,000 kms or so. 3. I have had random screen freezes and the infotainment system just not loading throughout the entire drive. Attaching a pic of the same: 4. The AC also had a motor failure recently and the part had to be replaced. The left side was only blowing hot air and the display was stuck on HI. After replacing the part, the service center returned the car with dirt all over the white dashboard trim and a gap in the trim of the center console. Luckily, there aren’t any rattles coming from the dashboard. Attaching some pictures from the past years! I also received an OTA update once: Some important milestones too: A quick collage of a complete change in the garage: Current ODO reading as of today: All in all, the XUV 700 is a well rounded car, with a few cons mostly in the after sales department and part quality. The car continues to impress me and will be my companion for a lot more trips and years to come! Thank you, Yuv. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
