Five Point-Oh Yeah!
Much to the dismay of enthusiasts out there, we’ve steered most of our resources to unlocking the tuning potential of factory turbocharged vehicles. We’ve had a few sprinklings over the years of naturally-aspirated, however the outcomes and results that diehards want come from having a turbo and being able to change parameters that have an immediate impact on recognized power. However, just because that’s where our software engineering efforts lie, doesn’t mean that our hard parts don’t have a huge crossover with vehicles we don’t offer tuning for. With the era of auto manufacturers streamlining the production process where one vehicle can have multiple engine options, this lends itself well to cross-compatibility of the body and other components and this holds true especially to the world’s best selling truck, the Ford F-150.
On the 14th generation of the Ford F-150 for the 2021 model year, we’ve created a slew of hard parts that fit the 2021-2023 models regardless of the engine option you choose. We got our hands on a 2023 F-150 STX with the 5.0L Coyote engine and were able to show you exactly how good those parts look when installed under the hood. The aluminum radiator shroud was able to clean up the area above the front bumper as well as the coolant overflow cover coming in clutch to hide the infamous “orange balloon” that’s front and center.

Sprucing Up The Sound!
We didn’t stop there! The factory truck is super quiet and for anybody who enjoys automotive hobbies, being able to put your foot down on the accelerator and getting that instant audible feedback is one of the many perks. With that in mind, we tasked ourselves with installing our COBB Cat-Back Exhaust for the 2021+ models onto this truck and noticed a manufacturing on the underside. On 3.5L models sold specifically for the US-market, one exhaust hanger is a specific style which is what all of our development was based on, but on 3.5L trucks bound for Canada or US-based 5.0L examples, a completely different hanger style is used despite the shared frame having the provisions to accept either.
By simply purchasing the factory 3.5L hanger type directly from Ford (here: Ford Exhaust Hanger), our COBB exhaust bolts up perfectly and adds a deeper, more aggressive tone that completely changes the personality of the truck! Coupled with the polished stainless steel that come on it makes the truck look better as well. With that installed, we grabbed a couple video/sound clips of the truck in different driving scenarios:
