Dramatic new look for Hyundai’s cheapest SUV

The 2026 Hyundai Venue has been unveiled overseas, just days after images of the updated city SUV appeared online.

The new Venue adopts Hyundai’s latest design language, with a more imposing front-end and squarer body lines – echoing the likes of the Santa Fe and Palisade large SUVs in a more compact size – while introducing LED daytime-running lights.

The Korean automaker has also bolstered the look of its wheel-arches, sharpening the Venue’s body lines down the side of the car.

At the rear, the small square tail-lights have been replaced with a full-width LED strip.

The cabin has also received a significant upgrade, bringing the Venue into line with the rest of the Hyundai lineup – with a new double-wide screen being the centrepiece, combining the 12.3-inch digital instrument display and infotainment screens.

But the changes run more than skin deep, with the light SUV now measuring 48mm taller and 30mm wider, with the wheelbase also increasing by 20mm.

It appears the facelifted Venue is being launched initially in India – where the model was the 12th most popular car on sale in September 2025 – with powertrains carrying over from the outgoing version.
