BHPian sumeethaldankar recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Nexcruise dial belt. Some more updates. I got a belt type dial control for the Nexcruise. The original price is 2.5k but since I was an existing customer they offered it to me for 1.5k. I have attached the dial as below though it slid later and is now positioned next to the lower scope. It feels much better this way and is easier to control. I have covered 1.7k kms with the cruise control device with 350+ kms with the cruise on. Typical speeds are just around 50 to 60 kmph and I avoid setting it on at higher speeds which on Mumbai roads is difficult. I should have got this belt in the first place. I now have two dials. I have kept the older once as a spare and have removed the battery. Central arm rest. I had got this arm rest from Amazon with brand name Vemoto. However it was too long and it was getting in the way of the handbrake which I use daily while sitting in traffic. My primary use for the arm rest was more storage space so I decided to chop off the front section by several inches. Post cutting the leather got torn and it was looking shabby so I removed the screws at the back and flipped the front to the back and below was the result. I managed to use duct tape to cover the back though it does look untidy but I rarely seat at the back so most of the time I will not be seeing it . Passenger next to driver can use the arm rest for comfort but I find it difficult to use due to my seat’s position. The original arm rest was a bit too long for the handbrake to be reached comfortably. After chopping the front part and flipping the backside to the front. Much easier to use the handbrake plus I get extra storage space. Driving the manual car like an automatic. We have always been taught and even the cars gear shift indicators nudge the driver to upshift as soon as possible. However this causes a lot of gear upshift and downshift which gets tiring soon if you drive in traffic. Post getting the Aha Nexcruise I have relaxed this habit a bit and now do fewer gear changes. I now use the 4th gear more since it has more tractability without lugging the engine. I even use the third gear for a longer duration instead of constantly upshifting/downshifting. Not only have I found that I am getting less tired while driving but I have also noticed that my fuel efficiency is not impacted much and has remained almost the same.
