BHPian Dippy recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Back in 2018, during one of my trips to Dubai, I paid a visit to the Emirates National Auto Museum, located approximately 46 kilometres outside Abu Dhabi. The museum, in the shape of a giant pyramid, houses the massive car collection of Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, fondly called the ‘Rainbow Sheikh’. He has cars from all over the world, including some custom-built cars. But the highlight of the collection would be the giant 1950 Dodge Power Wagon that actually has a luxury apartment in the flat bed. And the truck can be driven. Another quirky one is the globe-shaped caravan and a giant Willy Jeep. The museum was also featured in Jeremy Clarkson’s Motorworld series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlGMbfLcx58 Here are some pictures from my visit. I would highly recommend a visit to this place. Tickets were at 50 AED per person. This is what you see when you approach the museum: At the entrance: The globe-shaped caravan: The giant Willys Jeep. You can see my brother for size comparison: Outside the pyramid entrance is this Benz monster truck: Inside the museumThe Sheikh had ordered Mercedes W126s, one in each colour of the rainbow for his wedding: The giant Dodge Power Wagon that has an apartment inside: There’s even a Mahindra Classic in the collection: And a Premier Padmini and Maruti 800 as well: Some other misc pics: Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
