The next big thing in gas stations is on the way as Dolly Parton builds a new chain of truck stops.
I never expected to see people get super excited about a gas station. But the hype for Buc-ee’s only grows as people buy beaver nuts and pajama pants. However, it could get upstaged as Dolly Parton opens a truck stop.
Dolly Parton is building a truck stop
Personally, I haven’t been to a Buc-ee’s gas station. But I’ve heard all the hype and seen the memes about snacks, clean bathrooms, and clothes. Apparently, it’s not just a travel stop, it’s an experience.
I could get into why Buc-ee’s is rude for banning truckers. Semi-truck drivers are responsible for bringing everything you need to stores, but whatever.
This article is about one of America’s most beloved stars, Dolly Parton. At age 79, she’s not slowing down as she expands her business ventures.
According to Whiskey Riff, the Dolly Parton truck stop is in the works, which could steal drivers from Buc-ee’s. She is partnering with the team behind Tennessean Travel Stop to rebrand Cornersville.
It will be called Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, and it’s set to open by summer 2026. This could seem like a random business idea. But Dolly has plenty of experience traveling on the road.
From touring and traveling in trucks, cars, and buses, she’s come across greasy cafes, truck stops, and roadside pit stops. So she understands what travelers need on the road. Also, she plans to provide the heart and soul of Tennessee.
The group plans to open more locations across the country. Plus, the truck stops will combine hospitality, retail, and entertainment. Everyone is welcome to slow down, kick up their feet, and stay a while.
