BHPian Kelly66 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:October review:Oct’25 included Bangalore City Driving and Coorg trip. Drove 853 kms this month (33% highway and 67% city), averaging 11.4 kmpl @ 29.4 kmph (320d at equivalent kmph gave 16.3 kmpl) Annual Fastag Pass:In preparation for this trip, got my first Annual Fastag Pass on 24/10/25. There were 2 tolls each way (Kaniminike (180/-) and Gananguru (175/-) tolls for onward journey and Gananguru (175/-) and Sheshagirihalli (180/-) tolls on the return leg. Total 710/- for 4 trips is quite a lot which cost only Rs.60/-. Glad I took the pass in time.Normal Petrol vs XP 95:I had filled Normal Petrol (Rs.102.96) in October and had driven around 808 kms. Compared to XP95, based on various trips that I have been tracking, I would say that Normal petrol is around 3% less fuel efficient i.e. I would have been able to drive 23 kms more on XP95 for the same fuel top up, however, I would have paid 7% more for fuel. This is based on some approximation because I have not done a hill station trip in the past on XP95. All said and done, I felt the usual smoothness in the drive was missing after the switch to Normal Petrol. I have now done a tank full of BPCL Speed (Rs.110.18) (7% more expensive) and will observe till next filling to see whether it makes any difference in mileage and driveability. Will keep this thread updated. On a different note, you can read about my First Hill station drive in the Grey Hulk. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
