BHPian SnS_12 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Back in actionBeen five months since I had ridden any of my bikes and Bluebird was the first one to hit the road. Due to some health complications which were detected in May the Busa was the last bike I could ride then and plus the monsoons decided to stick around for longer this time around and went off with a bang so a month of riding season was lost then. Luckily, the bike would start instantly even after three weeks of standing idle and that helped during my recovery period but I wasn’t that lucky with the two strokes in the collection. Also, with the E20 nonsense things would just get more complicated going forward but like always we have no option but to adjust around such issues. Further, speaking of issues while cleaning Bluebird and Bianca (848 Evo) I noticed oil leaking from the right fork oil seal on Bluebird. Had last changed them in March 2022 and they were due for replacement but the dusty conditions we live in ensured it was an unplanned replacement. Called up my contact at the Suzuki workshop and fixed a time for Monday to have both replaced. On big bikes to access the fork tubes a lot of plastic cladding has to be taken out to gain access and with the age of the oil seals its best advised to change them as a set. While at the workshop the topic of discussion was how clean the bike looks and no one could say that it’s currently 8.5 years young. Before the work was started the work area was thoroughly cleaned and many bikes were moved around to make space as the main technician was just impressed at the way the bike was maintained and he said its a rarity to see even newer bikes in this condition and it’s was an absolute pleasure for him to work on such bikes. Took a good four hours to get the work done with all the cleaning preparation before starting off the work but bluebird is now back in action. Thoroughly enjoyed my ride back home especially pulling it in the first two gears from a signal then on to a straight empty flyover where this ICBM was cutting through air with its thunderous roar from its twin Titanium Two Brothers exhaust. Pure Bliss!!! Some pictures… 15-20 day starting routine Extremely tight to move them around.. When family comes down to visit a museum tour is always in play. Getting HSRP plates fitted at home. Front one has been stuck down by using 3M tape generously but doubt it will stay put.
