The Super Glide family at Harley-Davidson was an interesting lot. It began life as a factory-custom machine designed by none other than Willie G. of the Davidson clan, who at the time was the closest thing to biker royalty you could find in the U.S. It would span no less than three separate frame styles and engine designs, but it’s the Dyna platform we’ll focus on today, and the Super Glide Sport that it began from 1999 through 2005. As the name suggests, this particular sub-model within the larger Super Glide family was made a little extra spicy to appeal to the more performance-oriented riders in the usual buyer base.
