The Maruti Suzuki Victoris was launched on September 15, and within 2 months, the carmaker has received over 30,000 bookings for the midsize SUV. Interestingly, CNG variants make up a big portion of the overall sales. Out of the 30,000 cars sold, 11,000 buyers opted for the CNG version. That’s 38% of the total bookings, with petrol variants accounting for 53%. The remaining 9% of buyers chose the strong hybrid version. Besides the Victoris, Maruti also offers a CNG option in the Grand Vitara. However, one of the big differences between the two cars is that the Victoris has better luggage capacity, as the CNG tanks are positioned below the boot floor. This could be one of the reasons why more customers are opting for Victoris CNG over the Grand Vitara. The Victoris CNG is available in three variants: LXi, VXi and ZXi, priced at Rs 11.50 lakh, Rs 12.80 lakh, and Rs 14.57 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Source: Autocar India
