Some Mk8 Golf Rs and GTIs did not come with a factory hood strut and instead came equipped with a traditional hood prop that lays across the front of the engine bay. Those hood props will no longer fit with our Redline Carbon Fiber Intakes, so converting to a gas strut for hood support is necessary. Luckily, we have you covered there as well!
