So finally I sent the car for overcoating. It’s not a fancy paint shop, but it does the job

The work started with fixing the new front bumper and removing all the dents.
Even the front skirt arrived on time. Its made out of Fiberglass. I couldn’t find the ABS front skirt. So for now this will do.
The fitment of the bumper looks good.
We painted the lower section of the car and installed front and side skirts to the car.
The final paintwork will be done this weekend. Let’s see how it turns out.

Last night while browsing through Facebook marketplace I came across a cedia that was getting scrapped in Mumbai (kurla market) and the parts were available for sale. It was a type 1 sports variant. I immediately called the seller and blocked the rear bumper along with the rear skirt.
Today I went there and bought the rear bumper. It’s just luck that I found what was missing for the sports conversion.BHPian Jassy1313 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
