The Tata Altroz facelift has been awarded a 5-star rating by Bharat NCAP. The hatchback scored 29.65/32 points for adult occupant protection and 44.90/49 points for child occupant protection. In the frontal offset barrier test, the Altroz offered good protection to the head, neck, chest, and lower body of the front occupants. The driver’s lower legs showed adequate protection. In the side movable barrier test, the Altroz offered good protection to the head and marginal protection to the chest, while the abdomen showed adequate protection. The car offered good protection overall in the side pole impact test. Dynamic tests were conducted with the use of child restraint systems. The Altroz received a dynamic score of 22.90/24 and a CRS installation score of 12/12. The vehicle assessment score was 9/13. The Altroz facelift was launched in May this year.The car is available with three powertrain options – a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.2-litre CNG and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
