The car is a great blend of both worlds, can be sporty and quick when needed and relaxed and comfortable as well. Enjoying everyday of the ownership.

Hello all, took the Alcazar for a 3 day spin to the foothills of BR Hills and Mysore from Bangalore. Also visited the Gaganachukki and Bharachukki Falls.
Day 1- Bangalore to Sivanasamudra and then to Mysore
Total distance: 225 Kms.
Route: NICE Road > Kanakpura Road > Malavalli > Bannur > Mysore.
Drive time: About 4.5 hours.
Mileage: 11.7 kmpl.
Drive experience: Mostly driven by my wife. She was keen to explore (and enjoy) the Sports mode. The 2/4 lane highways are mostly in pretty decent shape. There was lesser than usual traffic which made her drive thoroughly enjoyable. When pushed during overtakes, I could see the car holding on to the gears up until 4.5k RPM before shifting. This was accompanied with rapid progress and a push-in-the-seat experience. However, we both felt the engine was getting boomy.
Day 2- Mysore to BR Hills via Gundlupete and then back to Mysore via Nanjugud
Total distance: 230 Kms.
Route: Mysore > Nanjugud > Gudlupete > BR Hills > Nanjugud > Mysore.
Drive time: About 5 hours.
Mileage: 10.9 kmpl.
Drive experience: Mostly driven by my wife. She mostly used the Sports mode. The entire objective of this day was to get some offbeat locations and find sunflower fields and enjoy the time out.
Day 3- Mysore to Bangalore
Total distance: 165 Kms.
Route: Mysore > Mysore Expressway > NICE Road > Home (Bangalore).
Drive time: About 3 hours.
Mileage: 15.4 kmpl.
Drive experience: Driven by me. Used the Normal mode. 80% usage of adaptive cruise control set at 95 kmph. 7th gear engaged, super silent cabin with negligible road. Fantastic cruising ability.
Summary: The car is a great blend of both worlds, can be sporty and quick when needed and relaxed and comfortable as well. Enjoying everyday of the ownership.
PS – Had a heart in the mouth moment when I parked near a curb and accidentally scrapped the front right tyre against some protruding concrete. Quickly checked to see if I had damaged the tyre but thankfully nothing happened. Phew.
